Mmmm seems a strange one? I thought Dann was having some severe injury problems so I could see why he might be stipped, but to state he will be defending his Commonwealth title seems a little weird.

I do feel for Richard Williams here, not because I think Eastman is a harder ask - because I think Eastman will f about the BBBoC and not show any interested - leaving Williams to wait EVEN longer for a crack at the title.

Will Eastman be up for this? Not heard much from him recently.

I dd not say Dann WAS defending his Commonwealth - I meant IF he does then what would that say!

Just spoke to RW - he is up for the fight and views it as a much bigger fight.

Difficult to say how much Eastman has left, he looked terrible against Miranda. Could be a good match if it comes off.

Quite odd that two UK fighters the Don signed at the same time and was heavily criticised for not using them, seem to have the same motivational problems.

They are both strange nominations by the board, you'd think both will think its beneath them. Although its clearly not if they are planning to continue.

Well - Eastman can get a rematch withn Na p - Miranda or Abraham at some point IF he gets maybe 2 wins.



RW Vs HE is a good fight and HE should take it even as a maerk time - but RW knows this is his BIG chance to leap up and he will take the opportunit f it comes off!!

I really can't see Eastman fighting for the British title again in all honesty. And is the fight really worth that much to promoters, neither is a big ticket seller. Can't see them bidding the sort of money it would take to interest Eastman. I could be wrong though!

I agree Eastman vs Williams has been a match I've been championing for years (ever since Eastman looking shaky vs Elliot). However, I just don't think the desire is there from Eastman.

His desire has always been questionable, you wouldn't think a knockout defeat would have changed it for the better.

Richard was one of my favourite boxers to watch a couple of years ago, but he has only had one fight in almost 20 months, and that wasn't the toughest match.

I think we can expect a few good bis.

It is wort much more than a Dann Vs Williams fight.

true it is 2 fights, but i'd like to see Richard take another good warmup before facing Eastman, who although isn't the boxer he once was, is still a hard puncher who is awkward to fight.

That is exaclty what Richard Williams said.

He ideally would like to fit in a 6 rounder then Fight Eastman - but if no time for a 6 rounder he will be ready - he says he does not suffer from ring rust - he will be ready but would like a 6 rounder to get even sharper for Howard Eastman.

I think he hopes for a late October date for the Eastman fight.


So a 6 rounder is better - anything can happen in a fight clash of heads etc.

I think Darren McDermott's recent form has been good. He's beaten Monaghan and Halder.

But yes, given his success as a Light Middle and the way he's performed at Super Middle - I would say he deserves the shot. Might have been nice to have seen him in an eliminator.
