All I can say is, Archie Moore says a bunch of shit. I recall him saying how he out-boxed Marciano, dropped Marciano and could have finished him off, but FILM can't be denied---Marciano was knocked down for a two count and continued fighting, knocking down Moore five times in that fight.

Marciano was in far better shape for the Moore fight than he was the Cockell fight, so what you're seeing is a disciplined Marciano versus an ATG fighter in Archie Moore, who, in my opinion, could do relatively nothing to Marciano.

The first few rounds were slow for Marciano, but most of Marciano's fights were, and those last four were clearly all for Marciano, with the first five being either even rounds or Marciano having a few and Moore a few.

You say a bunch of shit about what Moore allegedly said. Moore claimed that after the 2 count the ref blocked his way towards Marciano, preventing Moore from exploiting Marciano's dizziness right after the count.

I said that Moore said that he could have finished Marciano off right there and then, Moore did say that---but Moore also said the referee got in his way. You can't take much of what Moore says to be serious, as he made many claims through out the course of the years that were well off or biased.

I ain't taking anything away from Moore, as he was a great fighter when he faced Marciano, and was champion for another decade at LHW, he was an ageless wonder, a man with more KO's than anyone else, a true HOF great fighter, but Moore had his ass handed to him when he faced Marciano.

I'm pretty sure the camera angles are what gives us that impression, the new color high definition cameras would reveal more the truth of the matter and likely substantiate the Moore side of this story.

For the moment what are you going to beleive? Your own eyes or the recollection of the finest light heavweight to ever live?

All I can say is if Rocky needed the extra few seconds to recoup he'd have taken the time and got up on 5 or 6 on the count, getting up at 2 he'd have been ready!
