Nigel Benn dirty fighter
Nigel Benn dirty fighter
just saw the barkley fight-the first 2 times he knocked Barkley down, he hit him again when he was down. Both blatant, but the 2nd one he possibly could have been dq'd for. barkley was on all 4's and Benn came on top with hard right hand on Irans chin. What the fornicate was the ref thinking? I just looked this up to add to my claim that benn blatantly headbutted GMAN which is what changed the complexion of that fight.
oh, that's starting all over again is it? benn, remarkably, was able to fight back as early as the 2nd round, by ducking mclellan's shots and countering with his own. benn was seriously battered in the 1st and 8th rounds, yet was able to crucially find ways to get back in the fight. you ought to include that in your 'expert' analysis.
So when is Benn lined up to fight again?..... Nothing in cue? . So...I'm hoping to see this in the B.O.T.P. forum at some point. I dont' think I've heard about an imminent comeback.
Was Benn always a dirty fighter or did he simply have "moments". I'm sure people are going to run with this when they see it.

just watch both fights-there is no argument. he headbutted Mclelan and right after, gerald started blinking and playing with his mouthpiece. it's afact. watch the barkley fight- explain both late hits to meviciousmaussa wrote:oh, that's starting all over again is it? benn, remarkably, was able to fight back as early as the 2nd round, by ducking mclellan's shots and countering with his own. benn was seriously battered in the 1st and 8th rounds, yet was able to crucially find ways to get back in the fight. you ought to include that in your 'expert' analysis.
Oh for cryin' out loud!
The man has been retired for a bloody decade now & we STILL get blokes coming out of the woodwork attempting to devalue his best wins.
Enough already!
Nigel Benn was a warrior who was occasionally over enthusiastic in his attacks once he had a fighter hurt, but he wasn't a deliberately dirty fighter.

I just know he was dirty against mclellan. I read someting on the barkley fight so I watched that over again to see if there is atrend. With those 2 fights are concerned, he was dirtyBoxBuzz wrote:So when is Benn lined up to fight again?..... Nothing in cue? . So...I'm hoping to see this in the B.O.T.P. forum at some point. He kept punching till the ref stepped in as far as im concerned that more the refs fault than benn's, whats your point? has no american or even new york fighter (zab) fouled any other fighter? benn acheived more than most can dream about in an era were there were 3 or 4 top fighters looking to fight each other! show some respect for a warrior!bigznyc wrote:I just know he was dirty against mclellan. Is it Born Again Christianity? I saw a documentary on him where he had a large statue of the Blessed Virgin in his back garden which would suggest some form of Catholicism but who knows.scottmallon wrote:Benn has found religion and lives in Tenerife. Don't believe he's doing any sort of work other than ministering.
Anyway on the Tenerife thing. He actually DJs out there. Its more 'Ministry of Sound' than ministering.

I read an article where he had prayer groups in his some in Tenerife. Doesn't really matter to me what he's doing as long as he's happy and healthy and living rightously (and I don't mean religiously).WayoftheCass wrote:Is it Born Again Christianity?
