Birth: 27 MAY 1903 in Fort Dodge, Webster Co., IA
Death: 3 OCT 1930 in Cedar Rapids, IA

BoxRec No. 40433 - Add Warren (Addison Exum Warren)
Birth: 10 Oct 1902
Death: Mar 1955

Not sure if you ever got any confirmation on this info. I'm a relative of Addison Warren's (in fact, my name is Addison, as well). You definitely have his name right, and I believe 1902 is correct as well. He did die early also. That year looks about right. My 102 year old grandfather knew him best, and maybe I can get some info out of him; yep, he's still with us, believe it or not.

What I'm curious about, though, is what happened to the boxrec profile of Addison Warren that was on here 6 months ago. I believe it was this site that had his record, his fight stats, etc. In fact, A.W. went on to coach boxing and wrestling for Duke University. There was an extended excerpt about him from a book on Amazon about the demise of college-level boxing. Not sure what happened to that Google link either. In any case, you would think that the web links would grow, not shrink. Thanks for putting his info in there. What was your source, I'm curious?

Funny thing, I'm on this site today, because my cab driver today here in Washington, D.C. was Bee Bee Washington, ranked no. 5 middleweight in 1945. He's over 90 years old. Interesting guy.
