Post by Max Molyneux »

The fight with Scott was put back to Jan or Feb. (I guess Scott needs more time.)

And the guys Hatton beat were still rated by the sanctions and this guy isn't on the WBO's top 15.

The WBuseless ratings don't count
Well Stewart and Tackie were rated by the IBF.

Plus I did not say the WBU.

WBO's don't either.

Darrin Morris ranked 5th after he died

Lyakovich got ranked in the top 15 for no reason just to make the fight with Brewster come off.

Put aside the smoke & mirrors, which are the ABC rankings.
The ABC’s are cartels of promoters so the ratings are actually
done by the promoters themselves through politicking.

Since old Wankie is a major player in the WBO cartel, it’s not surprising
Scott’s getting more time to prepare for the fight of his career while Golden
Boy is appeased by a “gimee” to showcase their newly signed fighter.
It’s a common practice that sometimes *blows up* in the promoters face. :(

The unbeaten Columbian U talk about is José Francisco Mendoza who’s
name U will surely find in the next WBO monthly rating.
Of course the Mendoza nut huggers are happy he’s getting a shot
and will say “I told U so” if he wins.

Just like the Ricky huggers did when he beat Tszyu.

There are lots of recent “gimee” blow ups.
Omar Nino never beat a top contender before he beat Brian Viloria for the WBC title.
Rudy Lopez never beat a top contender before he beat Takashi Koshimoto for the WBC title.
Takashi Koshimoto never beat a top contender before he beat In Jin Chi for the WBC title.
Robert Guerrero never beat a top contender before he beat Eric Aiken for the IBF title.
Gairy St Clair never beat a top contender before he beat Cassius Baloyi. for the IBF title.
Carlos Baldomir never beat a top contender before he beat Zab Judah for the WBC title.

I’m sure there’s a lot more I didn’t cover, but did U know that Maussa, Collazo and
Urango were “gimees” before they won their titles? Do U recognize this list? :D

:( shoud Harrison be stripped of title? How many more postponements & excuses does he need? He conveniently gets arrested everytime a real threat appears!

I personally don't think Scott is anywhere near being in the condition he will need to be to fight the biggest fight of his life against JMM (mentally at any rate.)

I'd actually prefer it if they just let the belt go rather than Harrison entering the ring against JMM running at 60% or something. Let the belt go. He'll get another title shot in 3 or 4 fights, assuming he's good and stable enough.

Fight JMM now, I think it's career over
