If Calzaghe moves up Froch is in with a shout... been a bit inactive of late though (anyone know why?) David Haye will get his shot too and should be in with a good chance with that kind of punch, would like to see Nicky Cook do something round that aswell but have a horrible feeling he is going to end up being WBU or something.

WBU champ maybe...Razor wrote:Michael Hunter (this year)![]()
Froch is in a tough division (he is at 168 isn't he?), a lot of great European and US prospects, he will be luck to become a titlist, and if he does, to defend it...
David Haye has the potential to be a great TV fighter, he needs a proper challenge against a young contender before the title challenge IMO...

I can think of two maybe three boxers in the world who can beat froch, remember he beat barny who but for a robbery would have been europian champion a weight devision above froch's. Think Lacy has the edge on him just and Calzaghe but only realy because of expereance.salaco wrote:WBU champ maybe...Razor wrote:Michael Hunter (this year)![]()

Haye people seem to be assuming he will win a world title challenge if he turns up which I am not so confident of I think he is tallented but haven seen him dig deep yet. Haye Hobson would have told us a lot.

Here is a list of fighters around 160-168 who I would make odds-on against Froch:
Kessler
Calzaghe
Mundine
Andrade
Brahmer
Jermain Taylor
Arthur Abraham
Winky Wright
Fighters I would make slight favorites:
Beyer
Lacy
Jean Paul Mendy
Mario Veit
Fighters I would think are 50-50 with Froch
Lucian Bute
Allan Green
Sam Soliman
Otis Grant
Maybe even Kelly Pavlik

I like Brahmer, but don't know what makes you thinks he'd be odds on to beat Froch? 50/50 more like, and a fight I'd love to see.salaco wrote:[

Both have that mean streak and are big hitters too.
I'm hoping Brahmer can make a fast comeback after the Veit defeat, but the clock is ticking....
The thing is Veit is nothing special but he is very competent, his misfortune is facing Calzaghe twice, a bad styles matchup for him, which has led to him underrated a little. Anyhoo, I think Brahmer's aggression would matchup with Froch better, who I don't rate too highly as is obviousMightyWarrior wrote:I like Brahmer, but don't know what makes you thinks he'd be odds on to beat Froch? 50/50 more like, and a fight I'd love to see.salaco wrote:[
