C'MON CORLEY!
NOt only have I got £110 on you, but Witter is a twat and I can never forget that ill mannered, disrespectful manner when he interrupted Hatton's post fight interview after a gruelling 12 round battle with Thaxton, telling him Witter would knock him out etc....
What a wanker - and Ricky's one of the most respectful and amiable boxers out there.
The only reason I would want Up the Shitter to win would be so Ricky could bash him up....
But hopefully Corley will stop him.
Anyway Derek Bilton has picked Witter on points and surely that's the kiss of death for Shitter......

Oh and Ricky Hatton was so respectful to his fellow fighters that he faced off on his biggest domestic opponent, oh wait he didnt. And so what if Junior gate crashed Rickys bullshiting interview, where he pretends he wants to fight the best, Junior was trying to give us all a fight that we all wanted to see you racist twat
COME ON JUNIOR DO BRADFORD PROUD
Say good bye to your money E, Witter will do the job tonight... then he'll have a mayjor title while Wicky has nothing!.... thats what I call poetic justice!!!... its a disgrace how Fatton has ducked Junior, calls himself the best in the world and he hasnt even proved himself the best in England yet!....

I used to dislike Hatton, but now I like both Hatton and Witter and hope they both do well.silkov wrote:Say good bye to your money E, Witter will do the job tonight... then he'll have a mayjor title while Wicky has nothing!.... thats what I call poetic justice!!!... its a disgrace how Fatton has ducked Junior, calls himself the best in the world and he hasnt even proved himself the best in England yet!....
Ricky will still be linear champ at 140. Now if Mbaiye and Witter unify will Junior become the man or will it still be Ricky??? As WBA-WBC unification is the standard rule for who 'the man' is.
I really hope Witter wins but I don't think he will. Corley might not be the physical freak that Floyd Mayweather is, he gets tired like everyone else, but I'm betting Witter gets tired quicker.
Oh and I wish they'd stop going on about how this a "real world title fight" just because it's the WBC title, like it somehow rivals fights like Leornard v Hearns for legitimacy.

It's a shame, I did the conference call but due to technical problems never got to ask the question I wanted to ask which was.boxingchat wrote:I hope he finally shines at last and wins a world title. However, I also hope that he does not blow it and freeze on his big night and runs like a thief as he did before.
When he wins he should tell 'title-less' Hatton to smeg Off as well.
"Junior, imagine that it's 6 months time, you're the champion, and Hatton has lost to Urango. You get a call from Hatton and Graham, saying it's time to get it on and that he wants to challenge for your title."
"What would your response be."
I suspect that if that did happen Junior would give him a shot you know, I think he would really lke to give Hatton a battering. Personally, I don't think he would win a fight with Hatton unless he landed something huge early or got cuts, but i'd love to find out.

Let's be fair here. 9 days notice against a more experienced guy who is champion? Massive ask.boxingchat wrote:I hope he finally shines at last and wins a world title. However, I also hope that he does not blow it and freeze on his big night and runs like a thief as he did before.

I think Junior probably had the talent to beat Judah, even on that night, but he didn't have the experience to have the confidence for it. He made Judah look like a right twat I thought.

Hatton losing to Urangos would be 1 of the biggest upsets in recent times. Won't happen.jamesmcdonnell wrote:It's a shame, I did the conference call but due to technical problems never got to ask the question I wanted to ask which was.boxingchat wrote:I hope he finally shines at last and wins a world title. As for Hatton:
January: Urango
April: Castillo
November: 1 from Corrales/Witter/Morales/Cotto(if they all win)

There's been much bigger upsets in the past, never say never. Urango is a big puncher, Hatton cuts and marks up.Phenomenal-Nutrition wrote:Hatton losing to Urangos would be 1 of the biggest upsets in recent times. I'm going to go by Witter by very close UD. I see him starting well, throwing flashy counters and his awkward stance and switch hitting will give Corley fits, meaning that he will throw little and Junior will nick most of the early rounds. Eventually Witter will tire a little, Corley will figure him out a little better and Junior will put himself in some compromising situations before giving it one last push in the championship rounds to carve out a nrrow unanimous decision.
