Ali promissed to the public in 1966 he would fight every 2 months and have all his fights on national television, including national television when he went to europe. ali was a great guy for doing this in a time where circuit television was dominating the scene. ali made sure national TV got to see him fight. it enhanced his image.
ali also gave old worn outs like zora folley and cleveland williams title shots cause he knew both were robbed of title shots during pattersons years and he wanted to make it up to them.
