As far as i can remember if Larry Holmes beat Michael Spinks he was set to take on Kip Kane for win number 50?

now, Holmes was never the sort of champion to get any respect from the public (despite being a modern gr8) yet would a fight with the distinctly average Kane have gone down as a circus show in the Holmes championship reign.... or just another Tex Cobb...scot ledoux get-the-job-done affair

HOW SERIOUS WAS THE KIP KANE SUGGESTION ?

he couldnt possibly have been rated at that time

(altho now of course hed prob be top 20 alongside the erstwhile chapman )

i have never heard of this.i have spoken with larry holmes
on a few occassions and i have heard his exact words on who he
would of fought next.his answer was quite honest.

i find it hard to believe that anyone would of paid to see
