woa woa woa.....corrales defintley won the cassamor 2nd fight.#
# Joel Cassamayor (arguably 2-0 against Corrales; I'm picking him to win their upcoming match)
lastly......cassamayor has badly declined since 2003-04 when he fought corrales while corrales is at his peak. corrales is going to kill cassamor easily.
He's been getting some criticism in Brazil for retiring, but I'm with you. If he can use his fame to raise the profile of the sport in Brazil - well that's a potential gold mine of future boxing talent. Maybe he can make some inroads against Vale Tudo, and go the opposite of the MMA trend here.Decagon wrote:About six months ago, I was at Wall-Mart with my son, and I happened to check out the boxing equipment. They were actually selling Popo Freitas heavy bags! And that was long before his comeback win over Raheem. I have a good feeling about Freitas, post-boxing. I think he's going to do fine. I hope he becomes even more successful as a promoter.

He's won about five rounds COMBINED in those fights
yea ive seen corrales last 3 fights! ive seen him in his last 3 fights take apart two very good lightweights in jose luis castillo and acelino fretias.
i had corrales ahead in the castillo and fretias fights, so i dont know what ur talkinbg about when you say 5 rounds combined.
so while corrales was knocking out the best lightweights of our era, in his last 3 fights cassamoyr was fighting to a draw with B level fighters, and getting knocked down and looking much slower and more aged in winning preformances over 2nd rate competition.
cassamayor is nowhere near the 03-04 cassamayor that corrales fought
