Mike Tyson's World Tour

Post by HomicideHenry »

It's official. Mike Tyson will be fighting four round exhibitions all over the world, the first of which starting in my home state of Ohio in Youngstown. His opponent will be against former sparring partner Corey "T-Rex" Sanders who stands 6'6" and weighs in excess of 325 pounds.

Sanders is the only man to have a clean KO victory over current WBC title holder Oleg Maskaev. Back in 2000 when Tyson was sparring for a fight with Andrew Golota, Corey Sanders said that Mike Tyson was the hardest hitting man he ever fought/sparred with.

Tyson says that he is doing this not only for money, which is the obvious reason as he is over 30 million dollars in debt, but because he is grossly over weight and out of shape [he weighs 245 pounds] and was smoking.

Evidentially both men will have the option to wear head gear if they want to or not. Irregardless the showing of either fighter, there will be no 'wins' or 'losses' to their credit. There is already rumors that the next man Tyson is to fight will be "The Big Bear" Bob Mirovic and quite possibly Riddick Bowe.

I don't see how you can say that Sanders was the fighter to have scored a clean knockout of Maskaev. Both Kirk Johnson and Jameel McCline knocked him out for a 10 count. Sanders himself scored a TKO against Maskeav.

I'm only quoting Jeff Fenech

I did see the Johnson fight and will have to say that Sanders isn't the only man to knock out Maskaev, but I guess everyone has their own opinion on what a 'clean' knockout is.
