Jones Vs Woolcombe

Post by Max Molyneux »

Whats this Woolcombe fella like?

Saw Jones on the Hunter undercard and he looked good and was a real good KO even though it was a journeyman.

Should he be able to beat Woolcombe?

Woolcombe seems to have peaked in terms of levels and I would fancy Jones to edge him with his extra height and experience.

'Hot Stuff' might find Jones a bit too firey.

Woolcombe is tall, looks fairly flat footed but throws some nice shots. Seems to be developing some power as well. I think Jones is the better fighter though and i'm not convinced Woolcombe takes all that good a shot so i'd make Michael the favorite as well.
Should be some good fights at light middle in the future...

Jones looks like he's ready to launch another assualt on the British title after looking good in his last fight or two. That said, for all Woolcombe's inexperience at this level he's better than those opponents Jones has built himself up against.

In truth it could be a little too soon for Gary, but he lives the life and won't be intimidated by the task.

My head says Jones by knockout , but I might change my prediction come fight time.
