Harry Greb Question.

I've just finished reading the book Give Him To The Angels The Sory Of Harry Greb.

In the book it makes mention of an incident before one of Grebs fights where just before a fight he was found collasped on the floor having been overcome with chloroform.

The theory was some gamblers or gangsters had done this.

Has anyone else here heard this story? Does anyone even know what fight this was prior to? The book goes on to say the great Greb won the fight in question.

It's mentioned towards the end of the book whilst the author is talking to members of Grebs family. It also states that despite feeling groggy the remarkable Greb went on to lay a beating on his (unknown) bigger opponent.

Sounds a little far fetched I agree, but from what I know of Greb and the times he boxed in it very well may be true.

How many times did he spar with Jack Dempsey.
