Boxers out and about

Anyone seen any former boxers (most current ones dont count, too recognisable some of em lol) recently? small metaphorical prize to the winner.

I saw Funso Banjo in my local Tesco the other day, so the prize aint mine lol.

I met and hung out a bit with Gerry Cooney at a Security Convention in NYC's Jacb Javits Convention center a few months ago. He was a really nice guy and seemed generally pleased to be speaking with probably the only true boxing fan who approached the area he was working. We even playfully squared off, but then the rep from the company that hired him got kinda pissed, so he had to return to work. I have the autographed picture he gave me hanging in my office.

I know this isn't recent, but the Cooney story reminded me of when I met him when he was still fighting, sometime in the mid 80's. I was walking to a restaurant with my mother (the restaurant was about 100 yds from my house on Long Island) and out stumbles Cooney and his entourage and he sees me and my mother about to enter and he comes over and shakes our hands and introduces himself and says, "Gerry Cooney, I'll be fighting (so and so) next month." Very pleasant, don't know how many beers he had in him but regardless, very pleasant.
