How come under "title" we cant trace the history of the African heavy belt.
Furthest i made it back was Ngozika Ekwelum knocking out Joe Kalala fore the vacant title in 1979.
Anybody know of any African heavies in the 70s, or who held the title?
Cheers!

Steve, you are a genius!
Looking through some of these old records, some of the opponents have great names. I think Kilimanjaro knocked out somebody named "Huge Timebomb" or something along those lines. Awesome!
So was Ngozika Ekwelum the first ever African heavyweight champ? This cant be, as i have seen various other African titles contested at lighter weights in earlier years.
I wonder who held the title during the 70s, and what African heavies were active back then? Most of them seemed to commute to Europe to have their fights.
