.......A welsh title fight ! :o

Nice to see the Sanigars have revived a dying breed, and it's going to be a good one too :TU: . Gary Buckland v Stuart Phillips at the Newport centre in March.

I favour Buckland, but I've seen Phillips before and he really comes to fight so should be cracking battle. :box: [/img]

I haven't seen Buckland since his debut when he looked a bit flabby, but are your opinions of him?

I saw a full length shot over at eastsideboxing (not somewhere I usually frequent) and he looked at least 15st, quite possibly more.

Fernando always talks of his love for those burritos and enchilades but it really seems he has gone over board this time. He looks old and way, way too heavy

Even Ricky's pies and Guiness diet is put into the shade by El Foroz!

Kevin, Buckland's decent to say the least IMO. Over 4 and 6 round distance he seems pretty capable. The ten round championship distance could test his stamina, but the match making is sensible yet still competitive. 10 rounds must be seen as a test for Phillips too.

Yeah, he's a little fleshy but it could just be his natural physic or more likely he's not been working ultra hard at the weight for four and sixes and will come in for this one in tip-top shape. He's good to watch either boxing on the back foot, drawing leads and countering or he can stand his ground and mix it up too when he has to.

It looks a good mix of styles so the Newport fans should be in for a treat.
