Hatton is a fraud

Post by zeroprobe »

I think hatton is a fraud. Of course he must be quite good to have 41 fights undefeated. But I bet he wouldn't be undefeated if he didn't fight bums all the while.

Put him in against cotto, judah, castillo and he will soon have a big L in his record. Unless he hugs them all night.

How was that ever on PPV in the UK, hatton will never win fans out of manchester hugging like he did all night.

Hatton will beat castillio, castillio looked a shadow of his former self against a 15 fight novice who was just looking to get through the fight until he realised he had a chance of winning

Mate Hatton boxed superb against a dangeorus fighter who obviously tried to take Hatton out later on, Hatton's tactics were very good in the last two rounds....well done Ricky

'hatton boxed superb' is hardly how i would describe it, apart from the first 4 rounds (where ricky boxed very very well) the rest of the hatton performance was absolutely dire.

Yeah Hatton looked good to start with but jumping in and clinching for the last few rounds doesn't equate to superb boxing imo. Also in the end he was just jumping in and holding and not throwing shots on the way in everytime, surely a better fighter would have caught him easily on the way in?

You seem to dismiss Castillo's chances of beating Hatton. Yes, it was a below-par performance by JLC, but to think he'll put that sprt of performance in against Hatton, would be foolish.

I also feel Ricky will beat Castillo, but it's no walk in the park. It could well tunr out to be Hatton's toughest fight of his career to date. I believe JLC has a real shot at beating Hatton.

I just think Hatton has youth, desire, hunger etc on his side. It will be interesting to see what happens if both fighers' elect to fight on the inside?

I think we all expected Ricky to put in a scintillating showing. He didn't so we all got upset. But watch it again & it's not that bad, apart from the fact that he'd rather clinch than punch in the last 3 rds and seemed tired. He got a near shutout, we've seen Hopkins box way more conservatively (vs R Allen 3, waiting for DLH) with a big fight on the horizon, ok he was 40 bt you know what I mean.

Well he'll probably fight Castillo, so we'll see.

This said, Hatton has already proven that he can fight and win at the highest level -- although thus far only once, and it's time that he backs up this earlier deeds with new ones.

Great quote from Hatton...

"I worked hard for that fight. I had a long training camp of 13 weeks, so I think a few pies and pints of Guinness will be coming my way."
