Jesus, give Facey an unbeaten prospect and he just doesn't look like losing. Woolcombe was awful, a real off night for him. You can't afford to be below par against someone as awkward as Facey.

Good luck to Facey though, this should move him right back into the British title mix.

Woolcombe was unfortunate, with so little time remaining in the round, but from ringside you could tell that it was a matter of time. Facey had his range, and everytime he landed clean, woolcombe got hurt. The programme notes for woolcombe included the phrase - "the real deal? or the product of careful matchmaking?" Juries out still I reckon

Anyone knows whats happening with Jamie Moore's British title now. Wasn't Woolcombe mandatory?

Sorry, have been away so haven't seen the bill - what did Sky say about the British title.

I dont know about the BBBofC's thinking - probably have to wait for the next monthly circular. The 10th Jan one made no mention.

But how could Woolcombe be the mandatory? Surely that would only have meant leap-frogging the English Champion (Facey). And if the Facey fight was an eliminator, that means Facey is the mandatory?

What is the situation with the British title? Dominic Ingle mentioned Moore after last nights fight, but I thought Jamie had vacated?

If the title is vacant, there's some good fighters in the mix: Facey, obviously, Jones deserves another shot after his showing in Italy, and Macklin can obviously come again.

As far as I am aware the BBBoc called for two eliminators -

Woolcombe vs. Jones and McDonagh vs. Concepcion.

Moore is still champion he hasn't relinquished the title as yet.

Your right Kev, although - I have heard something that Bradley Pryce thinks he is mandatory also (or is it Moore mandatory for the Commonwealth?).

Max, Pryce beat Facey (and got the decision also).
