I've been getting them for a few years, since at least Tyson vs Danny Williams.

They are a pain.

Are you only getting them on the foreign broadcasts, or on the domestic, SKY produced shows as well? I'd guess the former.

Yes, just some of the foreign shows. It's really annoying you spend all that money on a large widescreen TV and then they shrink the naffin picture.

Why do they do it?.... the picture used to be wide screen now its more like a sardine tin!... The Hatton show had it and I think the fights on Friday had it too!....

It's not SKY's fault, it comes with an outside broadcaster's feed. You notice it on the footy shown live from certain countries as well (see Channel 5's Uefa cup footage this year). Change your picture settings on SKY from 16:9 to 4:3, that gets rid of the borders a lot of the time. That's the best advice I can give. I know it's not much.

If you go into settings, picture setup(or something like that) and change the ratio, it will fit to the whole screen and get rid of the red border(which seems to only appear in american broadcasts)

It is sky's fault, the hatton fight will have been widescreen and also on hd,
sky pay less for non widescreen and non hd rights.

I think the problem with lines is to do with the different types of tv formats! In uk we use PAL and in america they use NTSC!
