Joe Louis vs Jack Johnson hvy 15rds

Post by zuru »

Louis comes out gliding towards Johnson, popping that heavy jab.Johnson is taking this jab full on,as the speed of it is unlike any he has encountered. He tries a few of his own, that are either picked off,or when they do land, are completely ignored by the Brown Bomber, who starts dropping that excellent right, down to the ribs, and ripping a left hook up to the head.Johnson again tries that ridiculous "organ-grinder"like shuffle that he used on the slow clumsy fellows that it seemed to work so flawlessly on,to no avail,Louis is as sharp as a blade countering everything Johnson throws, making the Gavelston Giant pay a very heavy price for his offense.Johnson goes down in the 4th,5th,and gets rescued by his corner throwing in the towel as he goes down twice in the 6th,and gets up wobbly, glassy eyed,as his corner saves him in the 6th.Louis by a brutal 6th rd k.o.

Interesting how you favor a Louis washout while Joe's own trainer confessed to reporters that he'd have to edge Johnson in his prime if they'd ever fought . . . .

Wow. That is absolutely amazing. I don't know a large amount about Jack Johnson like some on this forum, but I know enough to tell you that there is no way Louis would win like that. Johnson was one of the greatest defensive fighters of all-time, and he was at least as fast as a prime Louis, probably faster. It's a toss up fight. I would probably favor Johnson by a close decision. It's possible that Louis could catch Johnson, but Johnson had some damn good power too so I could see Johnson catching Louis as well.

Louis scores an easy ko around the 6th round.

Louis wins a very close decision, MD or SD. Johnson's defensive ability would be able to keep him away from Joe's bombs throughout. Johnson's lack of offensive fire power would prove to be the difference in the fight.

Johnson- Louis

It seems if Conn could outbox a 27 year old prime Louis, then Johnson sure as heck would have.

Although my comments about Klitschko were more or less torile folks up,I still think Klitschko would have beaten Johnson. And I have NO DOUBT that Joe Louis would have beaten Johnson like he was "shit in a duffle bag" FOR REAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,

Not on his absolute best night could either Klitschko beat Johnson, even Klitschko at his best and Johnson having a bad night still Johnson comes out on top 9 out 10 times! As to Louis-Johnson...Johnson had the size and skill to give Louis all kinds of problems, but overall I would chose Louis to win either on points, or by late round stoppage!
