Hello-
I have just moved to the Wheeling, WV area and I want to get into a boxing gym or club. I have checked the phone book, Google, etc. and have had no luck. Does anyone know of an amateur gym/club in this area or any surrounding area (on the border of St. Clairsville/Bridgeport/Martins Ferry, Ohio) ? Thank you and any help would be greatly appreciated!
Are there any boxing gyms/clubs in Wheeling, WV?

My understanding is that you are in Ohio County in West Virginia which is part of the Allegheny Mountain Association of USA Boxing. The contact information for the registration chairperson who would have all of the info on registered boxing clubs in you area is listed below. I hope this helps.

Dennis - as a rule I don't post LBC contact's address or phone numbers on public forums. I have interested parties contact me via email and I give them a contact that way. I also never post or give out an email address unless I've received permission to do so.
Also, USA Boxing's web site info is out of date (boy, what a surprise!
). The person you listed is no longer the registration person for the Allegheny Mountain LBC.

Definitely not a surprise that the info is out of date! It is public information that is on USAB's website (although incorrect) and can be found by searching the internet. I do not hesitate to give out public info to someone who wants to become a boxer. I field dozens of requests for info every month at our gym. I encourage people to get involved and try to promote our sport as much as possible.boxmel wrote:Dennis - as a rule I don't post LBC contact's address or phone numbers on public forums. I answer questions relating to amateur boxing on both Yahoo
Questions and All Experts. I publish my email on both so interested people can email me. I just don't give out any other email addresses without permission. Some of our USA Boxing people don't trust the internet and have told me they don't want their information published. I have a current USA Boxing directory which I use as a referral. So, to answer your question, yes - it was perfectly fine to email me.![[icon_e_biggrin.gif] :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)
