Mundine wins WBA belt!

Anthony Mundine dismantled Sam Soliman to win the vacant WBA super middleweight title on Wednesday in Sydney, Australia. Mundine brutally put Soliman on the deck three times in round nine before the bout was waved off by referee Stanley Christodoulou at 2:29

"The Man" was in command from round two on after he put Soliman on the deck. This is the second time Mundine has held the WBA title, although longtime champion Mikkel Kessler also retains his title under the WBA's controversial two-champion system. "Call me two-time, I knocked his a-- out man," Mundine said afterward. "I told you I am the best.

So far he seems to be the best at holding a 2nd rate title behind the real champ they move to Super Champ. Hopefully one day soon he will win the real title.

I hear that is the last "regular" title that will be santioned by the WBA. If it's true then that is good news.
