This is really a bad defence.
He is not even the best Canadian at the weight,
this is a joke in his home country I understand,
really one of the worst fighters to get a Title shot that I can remember,
And I have been alive for over 70 years.
How did he get ranked that high????
What a mess!!
Bad for the game

Hope Enzo somehow manages to get himself sparked in this fight(I know it's impossible, but still....)

Would serve him right for choosing the worst opponent EVER for any 'world title'(no matter how paper this WBO cruiserweight title is)

Biggest joke I have ever seen in terms of match up,although I'am still fairly young, and Enzo has a few years left in him to beat it

I wouldn't bank on that. I've been checking to see what's on offer, because there is no chance this goes beyond the first, in my opinion. I haven't found any round betting yet, but Enzo is something like 1/8 to win by knockout. I can't see any enticing odds being offered for the first 2 rounds. (covering my bets there)

some bookies offering 1/100 on the Enzo win... about sums it up ....

Frank, this is an OUTRAGE... when ITV pull the plug on boxing you will know why.

I know it's unlikely, but when this farce/fight makes it to our screens, I hope Rawling and Duke will tell everyone watching just how ridiculous it is that Gunn is challenging for a 'world title'.

Gunn has no business facing Enzo at this stage in his career. And when it's dressed up as a World title fight, it's no surprise that boxing is in the shit. Sports Network should be ashamed of this match-up. Instead they're spending their time demanding apologies from BBN.

And castrating Frank Maloney in the News Of The World for putting show adverts in after they had taken place. Even though it was BN's fault not Maloney's. Little class.

Odds on Totesport - Enzo 8-1 1st round....... But interestingly (only because enzo is chinny and will go for the quick KO) Gunn is 150-1 1st round ko.

 Holy shit that is embarrassing. 8/1 1st round, 6/1 on 2, 3& 4!!! Even if you call it 6/1 each for the four, that's 6/4 for Enzo to win anytime between rounds 1 and 4. That is serious mortgage-cum-turbo-boot-filling time.

He starts out as a LIGHT middle weight, gets knocked out in two rounds by a welterweight, retires for 10 years, comes back at cruiser, gets 6 nothing wins and gets a title shot at our expense.

Will the SN crew actually have the nerve to sit ringside for this farce?

The ground work for a HUGELY embarassing night has been put in place: a lot could go wrong here, not too mention this guy getting badly hurt on live TV.

More like a televised execution than a fight.

And I doubt John and Duke will come up with anything more harsh than "..we don't know a lot about him..."

"And those are the dangerous ones John!"

Don't be surprised to see Enzo carry him a few rounds here.

Why are SN demanding aplogies from BBN?

SN should get fvcked over by the trading standards authorities.

Couldn't this guy maybe get killed as well? Will he be able to defend himself?

Warren clearly is abusing his position with ITV.

yes - cut, tko, rsf in the first 4 rounds you win.

If he retires on the stool after rounds 1,2,3 you win - but ONLY after round 4 IF it is before the bell rings for round 5 - otherwise it is a tko 5 win.

These are the usual rules.

They've chopped it to 4/1 now for rounds 1 and 2. Was just beginning to gear myself to dust down the old Goz wallet and get a few quid out for that :-(

Looks to me like a sad fight with Enzo making his opponent look more competetive than he is (just to please) - Then around 5 or 6 the corner will say(the other Enzo) OK boyo "go for it" - ITV are not stupid, how long will they put up with rubbish matchups - Enzo should be in better fights now, he has had enough warm ups and needs to prove he is worthy of being called a champion.

Where is our mate boxingchat?

He tends to avoid these type of threads - Come on Mr Boxingchat get your arse in gear and tell us we are all wrong.

What a farce of a fight - I hope it's a 12 second blowout and there is a chance it might well be :o

Amazingly enough the odds are even worse for Amir Khan against Steffy Bull - Another typical SN card.

1-125 for a Khan win

The irony is that the Calzaghe fight is the most competative at 1/16

I was thinking about Damon Reed too. Everybody knew beforehand he was an appalling match and so it was. If I remember correctly, it ended up the quickest world heavyweight title finish ever.

But on paper, Reed would be a better opponent than Gunn! Well, at cruiserweight, anyway.
