Will he retire? Marco has said 2007 is hisd final year in boxing & I just wonder if he Marquez were to defeat him, that may force Barrera's hand and he may just retire.
Whatever the scenario, Barrera's place in H.O.F is secure. He's been a great fighter down the years, been involved in many memorable bouts.
Look how long Barrera has gone on for. I mean, people were suggesting he was finished when Junior Jones defeated him.
Incredible boxer is MAB.
If Barrera loses...

I think MAB can look a bit lardy at 130, so I don't want to see him up at 135. I was so glad when the Jesus Chavez fight was FINALLY off.
I just think Barrera-Pac 2 is the biggest superfight outside of Floyd-Oscar.
I have Barrera as the World champion at 130. Some purists have Pac as the 130 leader but I just don't see it. Pac beat Barrera at 126 and Barrera took over Morales' rein (Morales unified WBC & IBF), and fought quality challengers (Peden, Juarez) up at 130. Whereas Pac kept fighting Morales till he was shot.
God knows how they'll sort out Barrera's mandatory with Pac. What with Pac's promotional problems. Pac is squandering his absolute prime (which may have even been exaggerated in Morales 2 & 3!).
130 is great, but Humberto Soto's taking over soon.
