Running Order for Saturday

Just looked at the running order for Saturday and Locket V Blundell is due on at Midnight - really annoying this , any idea why so Late??

running orders get changed all the time to suit tv. Early wins from enzo and joe could change that thou it isnt bad sticking around for 5 minutes after the main event to watch lockett fight finish early.

Its just a personal thing dont see why a 12 round fight with reasonable fighters should be on last after the main event when you have a load of prospects on earlier on in the bill. I guess I'm being selfish and just want to get out to a club...

This is Frank's 'super bill' but in reality it is very poor indeed.

Boxing at midnight well after the mian event will lead to a drab, iuninspiring atmosphere ...when that fight should be on in sheffiled or somewhere similar at a decent hour.

I'm in South Wales on the day, just down the road...and if the Enzo bout wasn't such a farce I'd go along for the occasion, but for 150 squid I'd feel ripped off for what looks like a couple of main event mismatches.

I went along to see Joe at Cardiff castle, but that had Simon/Tak on the undercard so was well worth it.

I'll save my cash for JC v Kessler @ the Millenium 8)

Well whoever goes at 2.00pm will be pi**ed by the time Calzaghe come on.

Stupid idea to start it at 2.15pm IMO.

personally i reckon if you are gonna go you want ur moneys worth, plus promoters want bums on seats throughout, which is why Khan or another 'big' fight is usually on last. I was at dagenham on the 26th and the last fight was a local boy, i think there were only about a hundred of us left to watch him, i only held on to the end due to the fact i live 2 miles away lol

id rather have 5 good fights than 15 mixed ones, goes without saying, but with modern matchmaking you just will not get that.

you look on ladbrokes this is a fcuuking lash-up. i know the fights are shyte but it just hammers it home when you look at the odds,

Diego Corralles is 20/1 to win his next fight, the bookies have stuck Castillo way out at 25/1, might have a cheeky fiver tbh

What time are the main fights sceduled - there could be a LONG wait between them finishing and the 12 am bout.

MW - Wasn't it Daniel Santos vs Takaloo.... and Joan Guzman also burst onto the scene that night.

lacy fought that night too, i got guzman to sign my programme, i thought he might turn out to be something special, nice guy if i recall.

Yeah you're right Stu, it was Santos/Tak. Remember watching Guzman, and we were all shaking our heads at his world title opponent, who looked like he'd come for a nice holiday. I was chatting to Enzo for awhile, as he warmed up in the castle grounds.
Great setting, on a summer night in Cardiff castle grounds - just as it was getting dark the spotlights picked up Joe as he was coming down the castle steps

Leaving the grounds was an eye opener...mayhem on the streets as drunken fights took place along the road outside the pubs, police rushing everywhichway, tatooed bodies lying in the gutter holding pizza, and that was just the women.
