Whatever editor classified this show as an "unsanctioned show" needs to have their password cancelled. It was sanctioned and televised on ESPN. WTF?

Joe Miller, head of the Oklahoma commission told us the show was not sanctioned.

Joe told you it was not sanctioned by the Oklahoma Professional Boxing Commission.

It was however sanctioned by the Citizen Pottawotomie Boxing Commission. I just called Joe and he said he told you that HE didn't sanction it.

You can however contact Joe's son Joey Miller who is the administrator of the Citizen Pottowotomie Commission at (405) 227-1310.

Or if that doesnt satisfy you, I suggest you contact Joe again and ask for a clarification.

Do you really think a show like that could go on without a commission? That would be in gross violation of federal law.

This is so ridiculous Jon. It clearly shows why the ABC looks upon boxrec with such skepticism.

Yeah Booby,
the ABC looks upon boxrec with such skepticism that they access and use BoxRec every day.
(We have proof of that.)

We were told that from the national point of view, all events that are not regulated by a
Commission are considered unsanctioned.

That show took place over 9 months ago and STILL the Citizen Pottawotomie Boxing Commission
isn’t listed on the ABC home page commission list...So when were they recognized?

 Do we have to hire Ms Cleo to gaze into her crystal ball and figure out wtf U guys are doing?

If the promoter, matchmaker/publicist of the show, and the Citizen Pottawatomie officials did
the job they were PAID to do, We wouldn’t even be having this conversation. :TU:

 And U calls US idiots?

Dear Poo:

The CPBC has been in existence since 2004. They have sanctioned every show at the firelake casino including Riddick Bowes comeback fight there and every fight that has taken place at the Million Dollar Elm Casino.

I am not sure on what planet it is my "job" to make sure the commission does whatever it is you think they should do. But, Fightfax has the results listed normally in their records so at least someone is capable of getting it right.

The part that amazes me is that you guys have so little knowledge of how boxing works that you actually think it could even be possible that a fight card of that magnitude could actually take place as an unsanctioned event.

That is so proposterous that it really illustrates that you do not understand the mechanics, legalities or just basic knowledge about how an event takes place.

Here is the most recent show that they sanctioned. Maybe you need to classify it is an unsanctioned show also.

AFAIK, the 07/21/2006 show was the 1st boxing at the Million Dollar Elm Casino.
U did not mention the CPBC when U posted your promo in the Scheduling Forum.
http://www.boxrec.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=46519
Writer Bill Haisten of the Tulsa World Sports, didn’t mention them in his fight report
the following day and AFAIK, there was nothing in the media about it.

I am not sure on what planet it is my "job" to make sure the commission does whatever it is you think they should do.
Publicist=publicity 101 (Earth)
Any publicist worth his salt would make sure his promoter & fighter’s correct statistics
are displayed in the media and BoxRec is the most accessed internet boxing registry today.

It is also a publicist “duty” to make sure his fighter’s “official” statistics are sent to ALL boxing
registries to legitimize the record which is viewed by promoters, matchmakers, regional and world ranking bodies.

Have U asked the CPBC to send BoxRec the official report yet?
But, Fightfax has the results listed normally in their records so at least someone is capable of getting it right.
“Getting it right.” means full cooperation from the promoters and the ABC commissions.
Fightfax doesn’t list the commission- promoter-fighter-record tie-in like BoxRec does, so its of no help in this case.
The 2007 Fightfax RB which would have the 2006 results, hasn’t even come out yet.

Try and stay on topic instead of coming up with a limp red herring.

BD
Every card is an unsanctioned event until the commission sends in the official report.
We are a statistical reporting site, not a sanctioning body.

BTW, Communication lesson 101
Don’t come on a FREE page asking for a correction and make personal attacks by calling people idiots.
(Although I noticed you’ve done some editing.)
Next time I will just delete your pompous *ss.
