Could anyone top Archie Moore?
Decagon's Moore-Patterson comment from another thread got me thinking about this topic. We've discussed it before but never on an exclusive thread that I can find.
George Foreman maybe? Otherwise I think this has to be a very short list. HW, LHW or Cruiser from any time period. It might be hard for even George but when I watch how he did with Holyfield (just this afternoon) I have to say you can't rule it out.
Are there any other likely prospects? Being a "more seasoned" contributor it brings me great satisfaction to see fighters age 40 and over still capable of operating at world class levels.
So who are the top 10 all time over 40 fighters? I'm not going to post my list right away but I think I have it pretty well determined.
Top Ten fighters at age 40.

I'd put Robinson over Foreman... he still had far more of his skills in his mid 40s... should have won the title back in his 3rd fight with Fullmer too....Decagon wrote:
