Apparently Forbes is in the Hatton camp and sparring with Ricky..

Anyone got any more on this?

I saw him lose the Contender final and was far from impressed with the lad, and he didn't seem to similar to JLC in style...

he ain't world's away from castillo.

they both have a pressure style.

he was unlucky against hopkins just recently i thought.

good level sparring is forbes.

Steve Forbes is a boxer, nothing like Castillo. I'm puzzled as to why Hatton is using him. Maybe he just wants decent sparring period and doesn't care about the style.

UNLUCKY?!?!? You must mean ROBBED AT GUNPOINT?

Forbes was fighting Mayweather esque but throwing quite a bit of leather. Good sparring quality. But not as strong or powerful as Castillo.

Forbes definitely showed a Detroit style. Somehow, in his stance and punch delivery he reminded me a bit of a middleweight Toney.

I think Forbes' problem is he's a former super feather and it's going to be hard pressuring some of these bigger men. Didn't watch the D Hppkins fight all the way through so I don't know if I think it was a robbery.

I watched him spar Matthew H today, very good rounds and Forbes is cagey enough. He did roll and loosely block with his shoulder.

he does have a neat style.
