Ryan Rhodes back with a bang

Post by dondada »

Can't find the thread where there was some disagreement about Ryan Rhodes.

Couldn't argue with his performance today. Just wish he did it more often!

Good news, now if only he could find enough of the old confidence in himself to do a similar thing on a consistant basis. For me he could still have a big say at domestic level if he comes into the ring anywhere near his best.

Ian,
The thread is Ryan Rhodes returns.
I had a healthy exchange of views due to the use of the word "shot" more than anything.
Ultimately the result needs to be kept in perspective, but for a fighter some thought was finished two years ago, he has certainly given them something to think about.
I hope he can get a chance at the British LM title if Moore vacates.

Just read Ian's report in which he mentions Ryan had the number 26 on his shorts. You are posting as "twenty six". What is the significance of this number?

It's his lucky number.
Several members of his family were all born on the 26th, his kids included.

I never used to be able to stand Rhodes...all the "Spice Boy' crap and him being Princess Naz's 'best mate' made me sick to the stomach as it did a lot of people..I have to admit I had my Canadian Football shirt on when he fought Otis Grant..

I came to realise(belatedly) that this was a media invention, Ryan is a nice lad, good fighter and still has good power...I wish him well...

I just think he was thrown in with Grant too early!! He did well but what was the point in throwing him in early when he COULD have won the title when they could have given him the shot 8 months down the line when he WOULD have won the title..

Still. he would have beaten Bert Schenk
