I'm living abroad so the questions irrelevant to me, but if i was still in the UK i'm sure i'd order it, i'm the type that does not have the will power not to :)

I always hated paying for PPV's, fcuking box office films aswell, what do they charge for those now, have the hit a fiver yet? When i last had sky , the full package was around 30 pounds, but 52 now, thats a fcuking rip off!!

P.S you can bet your left nut there will be more than 1000 ppv buys!

Setanta have less than 175k subscribers, so if it's 1 in 3 takers it's poor for Hatton's profile. Seems a daft move when he could have been on ITV.

15 quid for hatton castillo card, and the judah cotto card is a bargain. I think the advertising push will begin when the national press start printing how to see the fight at the end of their previews or interviews with hatton.

My monthly sky bill of around £55 makes me think I should exercise a little restraint and download these fights the morning after they happen and watch them ‘as live’.

Cant blame Setanta from a business point of view though – they are looking to break into a new market and therefore need attractive incentives, which the likes of Hatton and Cotto (in boxing terms) undoubtedly are.

Combine these boxing shows with their replays of UFC events from the past along with the golden goose – exclusive Premiership games – and you have a sensible and structured attempt to enter the sports broadcasting arena as a major player.

Its no different to Sky buying up Tyson fights in the early 90s. I was gutted as a kid not to get to see Tyson v Douglas live, but a new entity has to entice punters with some headline grabbing attractions.

I bet SN have had exploratory discussions with setanta following the unrest at ITV eh BC??

I switched off sky sports/movies and am going to Sentanta Sports - Cotto/Judah/Hatton/Castillo/Chavez Jr/Soto. And I'm on sky so apparently theres 2 months free - which may mean more boxing, maybe Sentanta have seen us boxing fans as a niche worth having :D

I'll turn on Sky Sports the day before the Williams-Margarito fight as July looks like a decent boxing month. Switching sky on and off depending on the quality of their converage seems like the best plan

I'm officially a Setanta boy. I can cancel it whenever I want. Got it via Virgin so no 2 months free, but I cannot miss a live card like this. Have a hunch that I'll keep it as this is where we get all things Hatton and Woods. If they keep on showing big Yank cards I'll be happy.

Depends what Setatna are paying him, they probably see it as a big opportunity for expansion having a British world champ on their books, and I am sure have paid him accordingly.

Hatton has after all already indicated that he is not bothered about being a household name, and is more interested in the money on offer.

I agree it is a shame when he could have really given boxing a big shot in the arm by being shown on ITV.

Just signed up for one month Setanta, £15, with 2 months free - cancel within the 3 months and you don't have to go with the 12 month deal.

Mainly cause I want to see Cotto, plus the Hatton fight aint bad either. So if you look at this as two live bills for £7.50 each, it's a good deal.

Plus any others they might show in the meantime - if they do, and it looks good, I'll stay with em - if not, it's goodbye setanta & thanks for the memories.

I heard Virgin Media customers don't get the month deal, just the Hatton fight Itself!
