This was a shock, getting KO'd by a Venezualan journetman.
Anyone know what happened? Cut?

I like Owen but he was absolutely ripe for being caught with a right hook and that's exactly what happened. Dropped and was shaky on rising. The opponent went in for the finish and got exactly that.

As Jim Watt rightly said (as usual), he is a bit over-reliant on his offence and hasn't concentrated on his defence, which he needs to do. Far too open. But he's young and still a good prospect if he tightens up.

He is the sort of fighter who is gonna knock you out or get knocked out himself.
Was very imressed with him v Dean Phillips.
You are right about his defense, hopefully he is young and hungry enough to bounce back and learn from this

I think the earlier criticism of Owen from the Sky team (as Owen mentioned after the Phillips fight) might have changed him a bit. Think he is getting confident with his power, which was a good thing - but could turn into a problem.

I hope he bounces back well, I still think he is among our better prospects.

A nice lad, very well conditioned and good value for money... he'll learn and come back I'm sure. It happens to the best of them doesn't it?
