Weightclasses

Post by wouter »

Some fighters who fought before WW II are listed as super middleweights, light welterweights etc, way before those weightclasses ever existed. I know what is being meant by it; a fighter who is listed as a Light Welterweight fought at around 140 lbs.
Nevertheless it doesn't make any sense, or you should list Rocky Marciano as a cruiserweight as well.

Check CBZ, Junior Welter and some of the other "Junior" titles were created by the Walker Law of 1920, and have been in existence since 1922.

There should not be Super Middles and Cruisers, and any junior division below Feather, save for Carl Duane and Jack (Kid) Wolfe.
