Henry Tillman almost never gets more than a passing mention on this Forum so I thought I would start a thread about him.
He may not have been the greatest Cruiserweight of all time but you have to respect any fighter who wins an Olympic gold Medal. As we all know he also beat Mike Tyson twice in the amaters, if only just.
So any opinions or thoughts on this former fighter? I seem to recall he went to prison a few years ago, does anyone know if he is out yet?

And actually I was never impressed with him.
I am sure I read somewhere that Willie DeWit is doing really well for himself these days? Some sort of white coller professional, I just can't remember what type.
I never was too impressed with Tillman myself, i always thought he was one of the more hyped up, talked about fighters, who never really proved anything significant, at least to me.
I don't know much about amateur boxing or amateur boxing history, but as a pro he wasn't impressive at all. He fought Holyfield when Holyfield was Cruiserweight champion, they were apparently friends at the time, going back to the Olympics, and they were hesitant to fight each other. But Holyfield won literally every second of the fight, he just never stopped punching and Tillman had no answers. And he did beat Tyson in the amateurs, but in the pro's Tyson blew him out, almost decapitated him with a right hand in a first round knock out, Tyson's first fight coming off the Douglas loss. That seems to happen a lot, where someone who beats a fighter in the pros loses to them in the amateurs. Cotto-Abdulaev and R. Marquez-Pastrana come to mind in recent years, but a more famous example is Frazier-Mathis.
