January 31st, 1911 at King's Theatre in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Micky McIntyre stopped Young Donoghy of New York. Bout scheduled for 10 rounds. McIntyre pummeled Donoghy, dropped him in the sixth when he was saved by the bell. Referee Dannie Smith would not let the fight go on as Donoghy was in no shape to continue.
McIntyre was scheduled to fight for the Canadian middleweight title on February 28, 1911. Joe McInnis of Glace Bay and Jack Bunphy of North Sydney, both middleweights, would be on the undercard.
