Boxrec Vegas trip Nov07
Boxrec Vegas trip Nov07
I mentioned the idea of a Boxrec group trip to Vegas taking a villa for Ricky v Floyd if it comes off on the 'How to get to Vegas' thread.
Let's see who's up for it then shall we? I've made some enquiries and as an example a week in an 11 bedroom villa with direct flights & airport transfers would cost <£800 per person.
close to the Strip, 10,000 square feet with tv/play room( pool, darts, poker table), hot tub, swimming pool, barbecue etc. Optional housekeeper.
Now this is taking one bedroom each. Apparently this villa can take up to 30 so sharing rooms could make it much cheaper. You'd have to add on the cost of the fight ticket which i reckon could be up to $850 for ringside.

trouble is ringside in vegas is not ringside, its about the same as further away than the back of the york hall, therefore better to make a saving on the fight ticket. they have the big screens up in vegas anyway.
the villa is a good idea but surely people are going to vegas to roam the strip, watch boxing, drink in bars and flutter in the casinos. surely accommodation is just for sleeping. so therefore a cheap hotel at the heart of the strip is the best bet, and the tropicana fits the bill nicely.
flights..for example..non stop bmi to vegas out 14 nov back 19 nov... about 450 quid return now but will no doubt be a bit cheaper nearer the time =£400 ish
accommodation .. primm valley from 25 quid per night, tropicana about 60 quid per night, but remember these are per room not per person, so i will half the rate presuming there are 2 per room. so 5 nights at 25 quid is 125...halved =£60 ish
transfers from airport and back, assuming you are not alone in a taxi will be about 20 quid maximum per person =£20 ish
fight ticket, should get a half decent seat for about 200 quid top wack or less. = £200 max
so total is less than 700 quid for 5 nights in vegas including fight ticket and accom and transfers and non stop flights., ive just checked these prices on the net and they are correct, they can only go downwards !!
NOT BAD EH !!!

I'd be up for this, as i'm likely to be going by myself anyway as the people i went to the Castillo fight with won't be able to get scrap up enough money to go again this year, although i'm only 18 so probably to young to be to be considered as i can't do alot in Vegas being 18, but if you end up being stuck for a few people then i'd come along/

Surely if you're going for a week it would it would be good nice to have somewhere nice to chill out. Unless you're a hardcore gambler what are you really going to be doing between say 11am & 6pm each day?rhino222 wrote: the villa is a good idea but surely people are going to vegas to roam the strip, watch boxing, drink in bars and flutter in the casinos. surely accommodation is just for sleeping. so therefore a cheap hotel at the heart of the strip is the best bet, and the tropicana fits the bill nicely.
If people are planning to be out roaming, drinking & gambling all day every day then i agree then having somewhere nice to stay would be pointless.
Whatever people prefer.[/i]

Will the housekeeper do extras!!
If she does that would be a good option!

Not necessarily. One of my pals ordered a girl to his hotel room. When she arrived she was stunning; everything he had hoped for.jamesmcdonnell wrote:That's ridiculous 600 quid for a frigging hand job!
Christ you can get laid by a top quality hooker over here for that much!
Like J says though, the rates quoted were outrageous.. He ended up getting sucked off for about 1000 dollars. Hardly what I would call VFM. He is a big gambler, high roller so it wasnt quite such a hit for him to take.
My advice would be to pick up some American girls who are in vegas to party - there are plenty over there and everyone comes to vegas to have a good time. It shouldnt be too hard to find some willing pole smokers!

I'm sure theres plenty from where she came from to go around.
Myself, personally will be doing what Billy is dead against above expect I may pay to get jerked off over a Hatton vs. Maywether poster
