1930-1941 Al Roth

Post by paulbrothjr »

Wow! While watching a documentary on Golden Gloves boxers in the past I decided to get up and look up my Grandfather Al Roth. I was never very close to him but it was a eal treat to stumble on such an informative site. I even got to see an old photo of him @

I was wondering if any of you wise boxing fans may be able to steer me to some other sites so that I can learn more? I, through this site have been able to see his record but much of the history unfortunately went away when he passed on in 1982.

Best Regards,

Paul Roth, jr
Oceanside, Ca

If you have any other info on him that we can add to his bio, please share. Such as a brief life story, manager's and trainer's names, and so forth.

My Grandfather Al Roth not only faught Eddie but apparantley they were friends according to a relative I spoke to today. He is still alive according to this site. I am also getting a history and some photos together but would help to have more info on this boxer as well.
