Don Koss of the International Boxing Research Organization (IBRO) passed on this message to us other IBRO members:
Thought I'd pass this along as something of possible interest.
The Library of Congress American Memories Project has placed on line
55,000 images of Urban Life taken from the Chicago Daily News 1902-1933. It can be found at
http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/ndlpcoop/ichihtml/
This link searchable by topic or name
Cursory searching found Sandy Ferguson, Kid Broad, alphabetically by
name.
over 1900 boxing images available at

I don't know if the above link is exhaustive or if some boxers may be
located solely by a name search.

British Pathe Photos Now On-Line
As of this past Monday, a collection of 12 million historic photographs dating from the turn of the 20th Century has been published on the Internet. These are from the archives of the British Pathe newsreel news service that pre-dated television. This unique collection has been created by scanning every inch of the archive's 3,500 hours of 35mm film. The site downloads painfully slowly, but it does contain some old-time boxing photos.
