Milwaukee, May, 25 (AP)
The Wisconsin State Athletic Commission has ruled the NBA featherweight championship fight here last Monday between Petey Scalzo and Phil Zwick, be called a draw.
Commission secretary Fred Saddy said the ruling was the result of a hearing today on charges that referee Barney Ross had scored the fight 75 points for each contestant and later changed his score card, giving Scalzo 76 and Zwick 74.
A statement issued by the commission said:
"The commission has a rule which prohibits alterations on a score card at any time and the decision of the referee was not consistent with the markings on his score card. Therefore the decision of the referee must be made consistent with his card and the bout be called a draw.
