Butterbean v The Beast

Post by Coco »

Rumour has it Darren 'The Beast of Bonymaen' Morgan http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?hu ... &cat=boxer

has been offered a fight in the cage against Butterbean!

In any type of shape I fancy Daz to knock him out

Does anyone know why Morgan hasn't fought in over a year. Saw him on the Hatton vs. Tszyu and thought he looked an absolute monster.

The report Will Hale did on Butterbean's Cage Rage fight over at BBN was hilarious.

Seems as if Butterbean chinned whoever he was fighting, put him down but when he went to ground he was so out of shape and uncoordinated, the other lad battered him!

I'm amazed Butterbean hasn't had a coronary yet, the guy is so fat and out of shape.

Why didn't they take 'the bean' instead of our beloved Mike Reid?

Have you thought about getting some grief counselling?

Thank God. Reading the title, I though Esch was being lined up for Valuev's comeback :o

Yes i imagined Butterbean V Valuev as well off that topic title! I remember seeing Darren Morgan drop a 4 rounder to Martin Rogan at the Kings Hall last year. Rogan dropped Morgan with a straight right and the whole arena shook :D

To be honest Daz is a bit of a loose cannon, doesn't train to much, he lost his last fight in Ireland, I FW hasn't shown much interest in putting him on, esp as i'm sure he knows he training can be varied.

He was lined up to fight on JCvManfredo undercard but got pulled last minute.

Also had a sparring job against that Dutch Sonny Liston(I think it was him, Daz wasn't sure as he also thought he was Russian!)recently and perforated an eardrum

Cheers for the info - shame if you've got talent why not use it.

Surely Butterbean cannot be considered an attraction now, he's knackered after 30 seconds.

It's a pretty pitiful sight.

Daz is talented enough to be in the domestic title mix, but it is hard for a big man to keep in shape with no work on the horizon.

I am surprised to hear Morgan is a talented fighter. I remember his debut with Ebrima Secka and then the Rogan bout, in both he looked a crude brawler.

There is talent and talent, at his best he is good enough to fight for a British title but not to win one imo

He was a late starter at about 20, and he was about 25 stone then!

Miguel Matthews started him off, fought Enzo in about his 2nd or 3rd fight cause no-one would fight him(or Enzo for that matter) but was pulled out 1st round.

He then went down to Enzo's Gym where real improvement started to take place.

Kevin Evans done him in a couple of rounds in the semi's of the Welsh(Daz was in Crown Court the next day for an aggravated burglary)

The next year he ran Kev real close as he continued to improve

The year after he won the British finals in the 1st round.

However he hasn't been in real shape since the amateurs as he hasn't fought regularly
