Hopefully Ben K can explain this:
Alan Luxford is the WBF lightweight titleholder. He is scheduled to fight for the WBC international light weight title soon.
Now, is the WBF title up for grabs?
What is an "international" title and is it more important than the WBF "World Title"
Please explain
Speaking of WBF. Ex welter titleholder in Lester Ellis................happy to report there was a major writeup on him in a Melbourne paper over the weekend and am happy to report he's well on the road to getting his life in order again
I'm trying to remember the fighter that Ellis won the WBF title from all those years ago...........Rocky Berg or some such?

Yeah. Lester KOed him in 2. By that time Berg was losing more than he was winning.bollox wrote:Speaking of WBF. Lester went on to also win the IBO Light Welter, Lightweight & Light Middleweight titles. Like the WBF title he did not bother defending any of them.
Six years after he retired Lester got pissed at a fight program and got into the ring and challenged Anthony Mundine. Needless to say, Mundine took the challenge & tore Lester apart. I hope the old Master Blaster has got over stupid acts like that.
