it was the first time i'd seen him fight so someone else could answer that better than me.

He should have covered up though. Foolish when this guy who is a known puncher gets encouraging signs early on and gets a knockdown - he's CLEARLY going to be going for the finish, Dunne went back to the ropes and opened up and traded with this guy when he was throwing all sorts of bombs and Dunne!

He should've just covered up, regathered his senses, let himself lose the round and come back fresh for the second. Foolish to try to turn things straight around like that against a rock hard puncher!

Whose that gobby bald git translator bragging how they all put money on a 1st ound KO win for Martinez before the new champ even opened his mouth.

I'm sure some crafty Dubliners will releive him of his wallet before he leaves the point!

:o :o :o

I'm really fornicating shocked. I pegged Dunne to win a world title at one stage.

I think Dunne should look at a quick bounce back and then maybe target someone like Michael Hunter if he wants to get himself back on track.

I shall be watching Martinez with great interest from now on though. Hopefully his fights get more coverage now. He looks like he could be something special and he's only 21, Jesus :o

He showed a total lack of respect for Dunne while Dunne showed a lot of class after a bad defeat.

Baldy was the only one to be shown up tonight... prat!

He looked a bit flash and appeared to be more than an interpreter. Did you see the classy move he did? After patting Kiko, he looked for the cornerman, and wiped the sweat on his towel.

i thought that dunn might get court cold after he made martinez wait it's all well and good makeing fighters wait but you have to keep warm and loose witch dunn wasan't doing. the same thing happened to klitchko when he fourt corrie sanders a couple of years back hopfully he will learn from this and next time just get on with it he'll come again and be a better fighter for it
