I wouldn't mind seeing the Clinton Woods fight at the end of the month. What does everybody think the best way to do it is? Order the channel now? Wait til the day of the fight, then order the channel? I want to cancel the channel after I have seen the fight, I don't want to be a regular subscriber to it. I just want it to be, in essence, no different to a regular pay-per-view fight.
What do people think? Have people done this? Is it easy enough to do, or do Sentanta f uck you about? Is it easier just to try for the impossible, and see if a pub is showing it?
Clinton Woods
Don't want to cancel mate. Setanta bring plenty of boxing, football and other sports to keep me well happy.
Looking forward to seeing Clinton fight. I hope the year out of the ring was not long and he can shake off the ring rust. Gonzalez is not an easy fight. It was a good fight last time and with Wood's lay off I make this fight a close one to call.

I would rather see Woods give Dean Francis a shot than watch the Gonzalez snore bore again.ILikeBeer wrote:I wouldn't mind seeing the Clinton Woods fight at the end of the month. Give Dean a shot, he deserves it. And it would sell out in say Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester or Sheffield.
Re: Clinton Woods
Agreed, Woods reign as a "genuine" world champion has been the most dissapointing of any recent British world champ in terms of the way his career has been guided. I know hes had injury problems but Hobson has basically left him on the shelf while he promoted Hatton. Woods is probably too decent to admit it but privately he must be seething.KO Artist wrote:I would rather see Woods give Dean Francis a shot than watch the Gonzalez snore bore again.ILikeBeer wrote:I wouldn't mind seeing the Clinton Woods fight at the end of the month. Depends really on what else you want from it. Order it before Friday and you'll get the Simpson vs Morris fight aswell.
Or...
Order it closer to the day and you might have (not sure of the schedule) some of the big fights planned for October shown there as part of your 9.99.
To be honest though... probably best if you order it now and pay for the next 3 months... Cause you'll get the all the big October fights plus Kessler vs Calzaghe. I believe there is a connection fee, so cancelling willy nilly isn't good if there is a fight you also want to watch in 2 months time.
I've just cancelled mine, but am very tempted to re connect just before the Morris fight.

If you knew anything about boxing you would know it was due to Hobson's persistence that Woods got the chance to fight for the world title a number of times.
In addition if you also know anything about the sport of boxing you would realise it is down to the IBF dictating terms on who the mandatory contenders were, is the main reason who and why Woods has had to defend his title against.
Furthermore if you had followed Woods career remotely enough to call yourself a boxing fan you would have also realised that Woods last couple of years have been scuppered by injuries which indeed makes his achievements of being a holder of a world title even more noteworthy.
Now f uck off back to school the playground is missing you.

Thanks for your considered opinion Spud.
Re: Clinton Woods
Thing is Albert, there has been nothing to follow in Woods career. He's had an injury or two sure. But so has Calzaghe, Hatton, Francis and countless others. I suspect, as I am sure you do to, that the real reason is that Clinton has got fed up waiting around for Dennis to get to work, and Clinton has had a few pies and beers (not a lot, but a few) and has spent less time in the gym.Albert wrote:What a complete load of shit.fatton wrote:Agreed, Woods reign as a "genuine" world champion has been the most dissapointing of any recent British world champ in terms of the way his career has been guided. Its no good you getting your knickers in a twist on here, you should speak to Dennis and tell him to get his finger out.
I still maintain that Clinton should be fighting Dean Francis, who I would back heavily to win
