Why would the lure of a WBC belt be enough to tempt Hatton? He pretty much dumps every belt the moment it becomes a barrier anyway.

Maybe the challenge of Harris will bring something big out of Witter. Maybe he'll stand up, wreck Harris & emerge as a real force & all the big fights will come.

Witter has to MAKE SOMETHING HAPPEN, for this to be the case. We ask a lot of fighters, admittedly, but Junior can't just win a dull decision.

His main tactic on Friday will be to outwit Harris, frustrate him and survive big punches. Get the win, keep the title. He will probably play the percentages to do this and if he gets the win I doubt it wins him any new fans.

A motivated Witter performs better.

Against Kotelnik, he still won but got tired late and looked bad trying to Ko him early. But against Corley he looked much better schooling Corley motivated to win that title.

Search goes overboard with the Hatton hating but he has a point about Ricky's style.

Agree but last time I checked Hatton was fighting for a WBC belt anyway!

His legacy is secure now, he's a two weight world champ...

P4P top 10 etc....

3/4 massive fights, plenty of dollars...retire to drink and eat.

Hatton's people thought they were picking a weak welterweight champ though. :-?

They just make excuses when he has a hard time because he couldn't bully someone his own size. They made a chest Infection excuse against Urango because his stamina was going.

That's rich the excuses remark coming from a JC fan.

In fairness JC's stamina is top notch, when was the last time he lost a round? Certianly not against Bika or Lacy...even Ashira...

I don;'t deny Calzaghe's problems though. I might make a debate on his career but I don't buy Into all the stuff he says like too many Brits do with Hatton.

I had one Hatton fan saying he achieved more than Joe based on two wins which were chosen at the right time and Castillo was average. Hatton;s career Is a little overrated but I don't deny he's a good fighter though.

They've both made the weight, according to fightnews. No more details yet.

Best run for your money this weekend would be John Simpson, 10/3 at bet365.
