What's the average lightweight boxer's height?!
I thought it was about 5 foot 7 (or 170 cm...i'm european), but i could see a lot of lights being over 5'9...what's teh average for you??
lightweight's height
For an amateur - assuming you mean 132#, I would guess about 5'6" - 5'7" is "average". I do know some that are much shorter and some that are much taller, but that seems about correct for an average. There are even some 6'4" 132# boxers. VERY SKINNY!!!
Willie Nelson is about 6'3" and as an amateur he boxed at 141#. Usually for 132# about 6'2" is the upper limit in height and they will still be skinny.

Yeah Dennis, i meant at 132#. I know a lightweight amateur at about 6'1,
and he really looks very skinny. Me, i'm 132 at about 5'8, and more "massive", but have a shorter reach. What is the the bigger advantage, having more power in power punches, or a longer reach on the distance?!
Maybe it isn't possible to understand what make a boxer a good boxer,
but, what you think it is the most appreciable phisical "factor"?
thanks :)

It all depends. Marciano had power and short arms. Ali had long arms and fast hands/feet. You use what God gives you and improve on everything you can. If you are a 6'2" 132# boxer you don't fight in the crouch style or in the "Joe Frazier" style. If you are a 5'8" 132# boxer, you can give it a try. Adapt your style to your physical stature.
