Robin-Ron Stander

Post by Palais »

Hi Robin! I dig your actions.
You helped me out with Tom Collins and referred to 81 RRB. Can you see in that book about Ron Stander.
According to 78 RRB he has two ko losses against two Robinsons.
Fred Fat Robinson, KO 5 in White Plains, Nov. 20, 1976.
Horace Robinson, KO 5 in White Plains, Nov. 30, 1977.
I think one of the losses never happened but I need this to be confirmed.
I doubt he lost twice in White Plains, with a simular result/opponenet.
The loss is mentioned in a The Ring year revue, however the winner is called "cheese-burger" and it doesn't help me. (It may indicate Freddy Fat?)
But I think the answere would be Horace, as that bout is a part of another card and it shows in Standers own record.
Could you check that, please? Or someone else?

I don't believe Fat Freddy gobbled him up either. Other sources of Stander's record have no indication that this bout happened.

My record for Ron Stander does NOT show any of the Robinson fights.

Ron Stander KO'd footballer Rick Howe, who was making his prodebut, in Marshalltown, IA, 1979-04-03. Stander's record shows 36-12-2 after that win. (We have 35-13-2 at that point).
If his doubtful KO loss to Fred Fat Robinson, (1976-11-20), is reversed to a KO win, his record figure fits with the Marshalltown win.
Could this be an answere to the tricky query?

We have Stander fighting Otis Bates and Otis Hardy, according to Bates record his alias is Hardy. Can anyone confirm this?
