good to see clinton talking the talk and trying to unify the division, personally id rather see him in with chad dawson than RJJ, mainly due to the fact that if he fights RJJ he is only doing just as he has slagged hopkins off for.

He's fairly 1-1-1, and next time they met he shouldn't have too many problems. His left arm was fvcked last time out so he couldn't get the jab going or counter Johnson's right as much as he'd have liked.

I don't see what Woods-Jones has to do with anything; it was about 5 years ago when Woods wasn't world class and Jones is a spent force after horrid losses to Tarver and Johnson.

He needs to do something to get known in the United States so I guess calling these guys out is a way of attracting such attension. He's not getting any younger and is largely ignored by the big earners in the devision.

Clinton will get his unification fight - as long as those people at the IBF are prepared to be a tadge flexible - I am probably speaking out of turn but they drive me f*cking nuts - it was interesting listening to Dan Goosen on the phone in the car taking him back from the venue - it seems every man and his dog is trying to seek favour with these governing bodies - quite frankly it makes me f*cking sick with the b*lllocks and politics goes on.

I have no problems from purely a fight perspective Clinton fighting Glencoffe Johnson because no matter what we all say it will be a great fight - but unfortunately from a boxing fans perspective it will be a difficult sell because they have done it before.

I really do hope the IBF sees sense.

Before anyone says it - even if the IBF make at times barking mad decisions I think personally it would be wrong for anyone to suggest Clinton vacating his title when he worked so hard to get it in the first place!!!

With regards to marketable fighters across the pond you may have a point - clearly people will not value Clinton's worth as a viable world champion - for god sake the yanks are that blinkered hardly anyone over there knows Joe Calzaghe other than saying that bloke who got lucky against Lacy and the majority of them do not give Hatton a prayer against Mayweather.

I really do hope Setanta give Dennis Hobson the necessary backing to get Chad Dawson over here - we watch Dawson on a number of occasions working out and sparring in the Top Rank gym in Vegas - either he knew we watching - and simply went through the motions - or he is beatable by someone like Clinton.

I am convinced Clinton can beat Dawson - but Clinton wants Tarver - As I keep saying I hope Hobson's and Wood's realistic ambitions are not scuppered by the bumbling IBF.
