I guess we should have a live result thread, since things are supposed to get underway in less than four hours.
No sign of a draw yet though.

Why don't we just put a link to the AIBA live results web site? That makes more sense than everyone cutting and pasting.

Yes, it probably makes more sense. The only advantage to pasting the results in a thread is to have them in one place where they can be easily compiled and reviewed by people who can't watch the live tracker.
We can always just use this thread to discuss the implications of each result though. Given the size of the event, we will have ample opportunity to decide once and for all - WHO IS BETTER, LEBANON or SAINT LUCIA!? THE CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC OR SLOVENIA!?
Seriously, there are going to be some weird matchups in this one.

I totally agree with you on weird matchups, given the number of countries entered and lack of experience in a great many.
Also, FYI - The event draw will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday and action will begin at 2 p.m. at the UIC Pavilion. (I'm guessing that's Chicago time.)

What with the blind draw it will be sort of amusing to have boxers from Russia and Kazakhstan fighting in one ring, while in the other ring two guys going at it who probably couldn't win the New Hampshire Golden Gloves.
Anyways, the live score module is up on the AIBA site now. Let's get it on!

Anybody got any score, or are we still 40 minutes from action? (It's 3:20 Eastern Time).

By Chicago time, we should be 27 minutes into the tournament.

The new AIBA - which is supposedly to be so much better than the old one hasn't even been able to inform about the participants, the draw, results. And the championships has already begun - amazing.... :(

I would classify the AIBA live scoring not working as one of the the eight least surprising developments in the history of the internet.

I'm seeing it on the front of AIBA.org - says Dimovski was winning 16-14. Where are you looking Mel?

Got it - It's not very clear or easy to read, however.

Maybe that's all they had planned today. Get started slowly, no need to rush. One fight between Haiti and Macedonia and.....that's a wrap.

Gary Russell against tough Rudolph Dydi in match 1!
Wouldn't mind knowing a result.
Hallab-Dalakliev! Wow, tough draw.
Petchkoom-Tipon!
Javier Molina to fight a Jamaican this evening.
John Joe Joyce vs Gyula Kate!
91+ is not supposed to be fighting today

Javier Molina should have an easy bout against Jamaica (keeping fingers crossed as anything can happen in boxing).

Maybe it just hasn't started yet. The live score is showing Russell-Dydi and Izoria-Parrinello with no scores yet.
Those are the two starting matches in each ring, according to that schedule.

Yanez has a bye, then fights Swaziland.
Warren opens against Tulashboy Doniyarov of Uzbekistan. Very bad draw for each of them.
If Russell beats Dydi he fights an Israeli.
Raynell opens against Khedafi Djelkhir of France. Very difficult start for him.

What a terrible draw in 48kg!
Bedak, Zhakypov, Ayrapetyan, Shiming and Serdamba in the same quarter!
