Hatton Cotto
Hatton Cotto
Just looking at Cotto V Judah. Win or lose V Mayweather, Ricky should fight this guy. I'd love to see that - a battle and a half, both walk on fighters who would battle for 12 rounds. Think Cotto will be after Mayweather should Floyd beat Ricky though.

Carry on having your fantasy, before your mum wakes you up with a cup of tea.Cannibal wrote:Way I see Ricky's ideal finish to his career.
Mayweather - Vegas
Cotto - MSG
Witter - Wembley (Retirement fight)
That's of course only if Hatton wins all those fights and Cotto gets past Mosley which is a 50/50 world class fight.

just watched the cotto v mosley fight.
some of you guys are saying cotto would beat hatton.
i say a big win for hatton. cotto is maid for hatton. the way cotto comes forward hands hold high. and the way hatton gets into great angles will be to fast for cotto.
but hatton has a bigger test in front of him when he fights mayweather.
it is going to be very close. with hatton proving to the yanks what we already know. hatton is the best

Are you the same guy as the post above you? I wouldn't ask but two guys misspelling 'made' as "maid" back to back is a little unlikely.the g man wrote:hi people just joint this website.
hatton is class. cotto is very good but he is maid for hatton style.
i know hatton would side step cotto bang in the very good bodyshots.
he would reed cotto like a book.
so its hatton for me a win 7 to 8 rounds.
I agree and think Hatton is going to be a very hard man to stop in the next 2 yearsthe g man wrote:hi people just joint this website.

I think mr bassie is only pointing out that you are likely to be the same person. And the dates on your posts along with the spelling suggest so.the g man wrote:hi mrbassie

Cotto is an unrelenting, cold eyed killer in the ring.
Whilst he doesnt box with the flash or panache of a Ray Leonard or RJJ that doesn't mean he is an easy nights work, as some seem to be alluding to.
(PR, if Cotto is 'nothing special' then you must have some awesome boxers round Chester way mate!!
)
His body of work tells you what he is all about - he stalks, breaks down and finds away to beat some fantasic fighters. Sure he can be hurt, outboxed at times and cut up but he ALWAYS comes out with the 'W'. That alone should tell you someting about him as a fighter.
Hatton has a chance to beat him (as Ricky does with any active fighter sub-154) and could use his fantastic footwork and angled attacking patterns to upset the Puerto Rican, but it would be far from easy.
Cotto looked HUGE in their last night and for me was a worthy winner, despite that great rally from an ageing and undoubted first ballot Hall of Famer in Sugar Shane.
Whatever the outcome of Hatton v PBF I think Hatton v Cotto at MSG would be an almost certain lock for fight of the year.
I truly hope its a fight that can be made.

Well ofcourse he has a chance, but I really can't see it. Hatton uses his strentgh and stamina to win fights, I don't buy into this "underrated boxing brain" stuff. When he senses the other man is stronger he holds, grapples and does whatever it takes.Manc_Red wrote:Not even a bit of a chance no??dbf wrote:NO WAY hatton beats Cotto. Miguel is too big, strong and hard hitting.
Cotto is as strong as hatton, hits harder and has a decent work rate.
I fancy Hatton against any 140 pounder in the world but aside from Mayweather at welter hes not a favourite against many others.
LOL, that's hilarious. Same bloke posting same opinion under different names right after another with the words slightly altered. And only time I've ever seen that misspelling.mrbassie wrote:Are you the same guy as the post above you?
