Hatton BBBofC Spot Weight Test Results: 148lbs

Post by Carbo »

It's an impressive weight. Only a pound over the limit with 4 weeks to go. I shudder to think that he had to take off 40lbs to get there; however, I'm happy to know that he's been working hard, and, even happier to when I think of the amount of fuel they'll be able to give him with no weight to worry about.

Good news... Thoughts, chaps?

Just hope he hasn't overtrained and peaked too early. Look what happened to Vivian Harris against Maussa (although Witter has since proved that maybe he just wasn't as good as he was hyped to be).

Hatton was asked that in a segment I saw and reckons with as long as he's been doing this, he'd be a mug to peak too soon at this stage, he doesn't reckon there is any risk of it and I believe him, especially when he has Kayes in his corner.

I don't believe in any of this "leaving yourself in the gym" business. That's simply the incompetence of whoever is controlling the training regime.

You look at how hard top atheletes, like Seb Coe, Paula Radcliffe (running 110+ miles per week), and Redgrave type rowers and you'll see them constantly training to the edge of exhaustion.

I beleive "leaving yourself in the gym" is all about badly rn training and taking off too much weight.
