Why is Yoshinori Nishizawa fighting Sonni Michael Angelo for the vacant WBF light heavyweight title in Wyong??? This fight being here makes little sense to me...

more to the point, Why is yoshinori still fighting?

That in itself defies logic.

yeh, so do u reckon that The H bomb himself basically couldnt give a stuff if a bloke is not fit to fight anymore..
i Know he was handy enough back in his day and even in his late thirties he was cagey enough to put mundine on his backside but in his most recent performance he couldnt keep up with heath stenton for god sakes

yoshinori is always fit but he is not allowed to fight in Japan beacuse of his age and the only way he can fight in NSW is if its for a title. He is the WBF Asian Pacific Champ. He's a really nice man he came and trained with us for a week before his last fight. He loves boxing and I don't belive that his age should be a problem aslong as he's matched properly let the man fight.

Boxrec rates Nishizawa ahead of Angelo. Hell, it's only a WBF title.

By the way, has anyone noticed the number of WBF titles now held by Europeans?

Ok that makes a little more sense. Was that part of the deal Yoshi struck when he came out as a fall guy for Mundine???

Don't fret guys as this WBF epic will be shown on Pay-TV as follows:

Angelo Hyder Fight Night Live
December 7 pm Fox Sports 3

Will Sonny be ready for a surprise on the anniversary of a famous Japanese sneak attack?

Country singer Roger Miller used to do a routine where he said his drummer was a Japanese Jew. Every December 7 he attacked Pearl Schwartz.

Agree that it's a shit card but you can't blame the fighters.
I'm sure Cotterill & Luxford at this point in the careers would be hoping to fight for bigger and better things. These guys just don't have the backing (money) to progress so they have to take whats given to them. It's a shame because I like to watch both these guys fight. Bennett though has got some backing but he wont fight anyone. I've heard that he is the hardest guy to match in Australian boxing. He wont fight anyone.

I just had a look on the schedule and it says Gairy St Clair is fighting! If Gairy St Clair is on this card and it's not the main event it is an outrage!!!

Gairy St Clair v Robert Oyan in a six rounder. That is just plain ridiculous. The usual Luxford, Cotteril six rounders against easybeats have become par for the course but this one is a mismatch of monumental proportions. This card is strange to say the least.

Gairy St Clair v Robert Oyan over 6 rounds is not only a mismatch, it almost defies belief. We have become used to Luxford, Cotteril,Bennett fighting easybeats in 6 rounders but this one takes the cake.
